We all can play a part in making Maryland roads and highways safe for everyone.

We believe that the best spokespeople to educate students and their peers about the importance of safe driving are students themselves. The Maryland Highway Safety Foundation is proud to be spearheading a partnership with Stevenson University’s School of Business & Leadership.

Beginning in the Fall of 2009, Stevenson University students will be working with the Foundation to develop a business plan that will educate college university campuses about safe driving including how best to reach resident students, commuter students, faculty, administration, etc. and then to implement the business plan throughout the Stevenson University campus.

The goal of this partnership is to have students develop a plan that can be implemented at other Maryland college/university campuses.

Additionally, Stevenson University students will work to develop a business plan to effectively communicate the importance of safe driving to high school students and serve as ambassadors in the classroom. As these young men and women first begin venturing out onto Maryland roads and highways, Stevenson University students and the Foundation will have the opportunity to educate these young people on the dangers of distracted driving at a crucial time in their driving career.

Change begins with education, and the Foundation is looking forward to building a strong and successful partnership with Stevenson University and its School of Business & Leadership students in 2009 and beyond.
